Might do some good to Google the quote or ask for a source. Rather than jumping to conclusions and hurling misogynistic slurs around.

Maybe it is fake, but my statement stands. I have no love for this self-important pseudo-intellectual who shamelessly censors any discussion she doesn’t agree with on her videos, bases her “social commentary” entirely around the pop culture that she likes and called Ico “the most irritatingly sexist game I’ve ever played”.

And those are facts, by the way. Feel free to look into them.

Yeah, those comments make for great discussion. I haven’t seen enough of her videos to comment on them, but I do remember the backlash she received over daring to criticize something that gamers deem sacred. 

I understand that Ico gets a lot of praise for being the example of how gaming is art. It doesn’t make it any less problematic. Critical analysis of pop culture is not a bad thing. 

And do you know WHY those foul, ignorant comments are there in such great volume? Because in order to funnel views and comments into her latest video, she closed the comments on her two previous two videos prior to releasing the Kickstarter video, and then closed the comments again when the Kickstarter ended.

Don’t get me wrong, I encourage feminism. Anita Sarkeesian, however, is a poor feminist. Her insights are shallow, overly conservative and superficial, her persona is self-centred, holier-than-thou and manipulative, and she uses the dissent of a rabble of angry 13-year-olds on Youtube to make herself out to be a martyr against some imagined co-ordinated, anti-feminist army.
